Next stop Switzerland!

the bus only had 10 people on it
After just seeing the alps through the window the bus i knew that Switzerland was my favourite place so far! the scenery was incredible, i have never seen anything like it in my life! All the houses look just like the ones you draw when you are young (or if you are like me you still draw houses like this now) they all have triangle roofs with square/rectangle bottoms.
we were lucky in that our guide for the day has lived in Switzerland for 6 years so knew a lot about it. she told us that hidden away in the alps are millions of bunkers, enough to fit the entire population of Switzerland (8 million people) if there was a war. In the bunkers they have enough food and water and supplies squirrled away to house everyone for over a year!!! also in a rock overhanging the road into Switzerland they have filled it with explosives so if they need to they just blow up this rock and it will covet the road so no one can get in or out.
The bus stopped at a look out so we could take some photos of the glacier water lake, it was the most incredible turquoise blue you have ever seen in your life, the photos definitly do not do it justice.
Swiss francs
We had dinner with another couple from busabout and they gave us some great tips of things to do along the way (they have already done the north loop which is what we are about to start). Me and Ewen both had rosti which is a Swiss speciality. It is basically grated potato fried with your choice of toppings. we both had egg, bacon, cheese and onion. it was delicious! the food took a while to come out (maybe an hour and a half) and the wait staff were so apologetic they gave us a free round of drinks which was nice!
the next morning we had to leave Lauterbrunnen to head to Lucerne.
We took all the above photos at our hostel
