Lako Como

CELEBRITY SIGHTINGS GALORE
Lake Como... firstly before i tell you anything about Como something very very exciting happened before we even crossed the border into Switzerland... we were at a service stop (an awesome one by the way, with lots of fresh cooked food) and we saw Michael Cera. If you don't know who this is then here is his picture....
I wont go into any more details (although technicially there are no details to go into) because Ewen has big plans for his Michel Cera post when he catches up to me :-)
We got into Lake Como about 12 and the hostel was on siesta so we spent about 2 and a half hours sitting on a park bench with all of our belongings waiting to check into the hostel. once we finally did check in we unpacked some stuff and then set off to find a laundromat. Our hostel man had assured us it was just around the corner "left and then left again" well after about half an hour of walking we finally found a laundromat!!!
By the time our washing was done the day was basically over so we had dinner at the restaurant at our hostel, yummy 5 euro pizzas!
got to love Italy for their delicious fresh pizzas! you cant go wrong with pizza in Italy (except in Vatican City which technically isn't in the country of Italy anyway)
Our next day was slightly more eventful (only very slightly) we slept in and after just making it down to breakfast in time we spent a couple of hours exploring the town of Como, we heard that George Clooney has a house in Como but unfortunately didn't catch a glimpse of him, i assume he was busy entertaining our good friend Mike.
We explored the old streets, found a nice church (but got kicked out after a few minutes because a service was about to start), Ewen had some coffee Italian style (standing at the bar) and that was about it. Not much to do in Lake Como... well that isn't strictly true you can take a boat tour or go up the funicular to check out the views but we were feeling lazy and very short on cash so we spent the rest of the day reading and catching up on blogs.
The next day we yet again spent a few hours sitting on a park bench with all of our belongings before the busabout bus picked us up at about 1pm and we sped off to Nice.
