Arundel Castle

On our drive from Brighton to Portsmouth we made a pit-stop in Arundel to look at the castle there.
I forgot to say in our last blog that we hired a car, it's a cute little silver one and luckily Ewen's license arrived the morning we were leaving from London because even though i had ordered an auto for us they gave us a manual and it would have being a very long drive to Brighton if i had to drive a manual.
So Arundel Castle was definitely the most impressive and "castle like" castle i have ever seen. It was surrounded by beautiful green grass and gardens and from the top of the castle their were beautiful views over the town and countryside. We spent a couple of hours exploring the inside and outside of the castle and then went down into the town to have lunch at a little bakery. Then it was back in the car to navigate to Portsmouth.

The most impressive castle we've seen yet

Glad the license arrived on time or you might still be motoring down the highway or going backwards. Arundel Castle beautiful, they hold cricket matches there. The gardens are gorgeous.
